Off road vehicle modification is a way for off road enthusiasts to pursue better performance and stronger off road capabilities. But before we can modify an off road vehicle, we need to understand some basic data to ensure a smooth modification process and improve vehicle performance.
Before modifying the wheel hub, confirm whether the wheel hub data matches the vehicle. Today, we will start from the wheel width, center aperture, PCD value, ET offset, and talk about several important data references that need attention to modify the wheel hub.
1.Rim width: usually represented by J, the corresponding size of the tire width table is as follows:
2.Center aperture: the size of the center hole of the hub, in the modification to understand the center aperture in advance, to find the hub matching for their own models.
3.PCD value: For example, the hole distance is 6×138 hub - 6 refers to the hub is fixed by 6 bolts, 138 refers to the center point of 6 bolts connected into a circle, the diameter of the circle is 138mm, PCD value is 6×138.
4.ET offset: that is, the offset value, the distance from the mounting surface to the center line of the wheel hub rim, in MM. ET offset determines whether the hub has friction with the vehicle parts, and the wheel base becomes larger when the offset becomes smaller. If the et value of the new hub is larger than the original hub, or the width is too large, there may be friction with the vehicle suspension system.
Wheel hub modification is a more important step in car modification, carefully choose modified wheels, buy regular wheels.
